You've come a long way and learned a lot. Now, we would like to tell you a little about us, our story and our
commitment to you should you decide to partner with us and the company.
We have always been entrepreneurs having our own business. When we were younger, farming was our way of life
until 1990 when farming was a little tough for us and decided that we needed to add more income. We started a
carpet cleaning service in 1991 along with farming and quickly found out that having a conventional business is a
lot more work when you're doing this yourself. We also, both got outside jobs in 1991 to pay the bills.
In August of 1995 we started our home business, Network Marketing journey after realizing that our jobs
could end at a snap of the finger. We both had great jobs in a well known Casino as Coctail Servers
making an excellent income. Then, the day came when Tom was let go of his position without warning. And it is
hard to make it on one income raising 4 children.
So, coinsedently at that time we were approached by a friend of ours with what was our first home business. We
met some amazing people and had a lot of fun but the products had no room for retail profits. It was strickly a
wholesale buying program.
Skip a head 5 years, in 2000 we again started looking at home based business options. There was sure a lot of junk
out there. There is even more junk out there now, as you have probably noticed.
MLM and Network Marketing were the last things on our mind after our first experience, but everything kept
pointing us there. We wanted a few things -
- Flexibility
- More than a "hobby" income
- Personal Growth and Development
- Residual Income (for retirement)
Network Marketing seemed to be the perfect fit, but we were some what skeptical. After going through the same
process you have, we soon realized that we had pre-conceived notions about the industry that just were not
accurate. If Warren Buffett and Donald Trump think it's a great business model, who were
we to doubt it?
So, we jumped in!
We've learned a lot along the way. How to choose the right company, how to build a successful business and how
to teach others to do the same....we want to share all of this information with you. Here is what you can

ourselves in the eye and feel good about our thoughts, actions and beliefs.

So, on to the company....
As we mentioned, our Network Marketing journey began in August, 1995. Our first company was Amway and it was
nearly $200 to get involved. We did fairly well in that company, until we realized that the company values did not
match ours. And, there is nothing exciting or fun about calling members at the end of the month telling them to
order $266 in product to get back a $3 check.. It's all out crazy!
In 2000 we decided to look at different direct selling companies, so we went searching
online.
Everything kept pointing us to nutrition and the "next trillion dollar industry."
So, we researched and started with a nutrition and vitamin company and the big craze - "a
juice deal!"
Here is what we found - while we are passionate about health and nutrition, most people are not,
especially when they see the price tag. Yeah, they want health, weight loss, anti-aging; but when push comes to
shove, that $150 or so price tag each month is a deal breaker.
Combine that with thousands of companies all out there touting how great their product is and how
unique it is. Now, we can't be sure since we have not had any product lab tested, but we are certain
the product we bought at Sam's Club recently with the same ingredient name for 1/3 of the price of a well known
juice company gave us the same results.
And, that's okay. we understand how MLM and pay plans work and understand that in order to pay a
downline and big bonuses, there has to be a mark up, however, some of it seems like highway robbery! It was tough
for us to justify this to our prospects and our downline. We couldn't say for certain that the
product is better. We do know it costs a lot more, however.
Skip ahead to 2004...
We were looking for something new, something different, something fresh. And yet we were
skeptical when we first heard of this company. How would we know that this company would be around long
enough and would be the one that we would earn more than we ever had in a home business and reach a
leadership level with?
What if you are walking by that company? Keep your mind open and remember that success almost
never unfolds the exact way you expect it to.
Don't worry about planning everything out in advance, just be open to the possibilities.
We didn't think that a home fragrance company would be the
company for us, but we were at least open to evaluating it. How about you?
When we were first introduced to the concept of a Candle Home Business, we
were unsure. We were not looking for a candle business at all. We
were not into home parties or doing shows and expos. We are recruiters and enjoy helping others find
success. What we found was that home parties and expos is only a small
portion of this business.
Also, we were afraid
that our target market would be limited to only women.
Were we ever wrong? The Candle industry is a $3 billion +
industry and the Home Candle Business we offer is in the strongest growing part of that industry - gourmet, scented
candles. Imagine being one of only about 6 candle companies vs. thousands of
nutritional and juice companies. And, talking about trends and issues - we produce an Alternative,
Vegetable Wax Candle.
Whether you are male or female, young or old, how many people do you
know who burn candles in their home? The answer is - 80%. Candles are a product that people love, give as gifts and
don't require educating about in order to enjoy.
